Overview
At the height of the pandemic, I co-founded UC Students for Transparency to spotlight the gaps in public health policy and campus accountability. It started as a single Instagram account, and became a multi-campus digital movement.
As Communications Manager, I led a team of creatives across design, copy, and video. I also ran our segmented campaign, UC Students for Public Health (formerly @UCSB.Party), where I built a second audience from the ground up. My focus was strategy, content development, team operations, and staying ahead of what resonated.
We built content templates that were easy to replicate, made space for student voices, and generated funds through local merch, all while going viral across the UC system.

Educational Comic Series
Teamwork Dreamwork
We were collaborative to the core. I used tools like Trello and Creator Studio to manage workflow, delegate tasks, and monitor campaign health. Each post came out of a thoughtful process: brainstorm, research, design, write, review, refine, publish, track, and repeat. We built content pillars, tested what worked, and doubled down on formats that hit.
We knew how to make things that looked goodbut more importantly, we knew how to make things people shared. Whether it was an IG carousel, a meme, or a motion graphic, every post had a purpose.

Strategies to Success
We didn’t stop at posting. I built in SEO best practices across all our content—whether it was alt text, captions, hashtags, or links to full articles. That strategy helped drive more organic traffic to our website and social platforms and gave us a real edge in the digital space.
