Putting together this Tokyo itinerary was honestly half the fun. I wanted the guide itself to feel as intentional as the trip, so I leaned into a clean, bold graphic style for the PDF. I used a lot of "Aka" (red) accents to mirror the iconic Tokyo Tower and the torii gates we’ll be seeing in Kamakura.

A Few Highlights I’m Stoked For:

  • One day we’re watching a giant 3D cat in Shinjuku, and the next we’re washing our yen in a cave at Zeniarai Benten Shrine to hopefully multiply our travel budget.

  • Controlling a giant humanoid robot at RED ROBO FIGHT is absolute "bucket list" material for me.

  • I’ve already got my "essential phrases" down—mostly Oishii (delicious) and Okanjō onegaishimasu (check, please). I'm especially looking forward to the charcoal-grilled chicken at Ukai Toriyama.

  • We’re balancing the "world’s busiest intersection" at Shibuya Crossing with a chair lift ride up Mount Takao to see the Monkey Park.

It was important to me that the design didn't just look good but actually worked—like including the tip to carry specific ¥1,000 bills and ¥500 coins for vending machines and temples.

Got any video game recommendations?
