The REEL LOUD Film and Arts Festival is an annual student-organized event at UC Santa Barbara that celebrates student films, art, music, dance, performance, and more. Now in it's 30th year, Reel Loud is known for it's unique take on silent films; they debut with a live music performance. Shown at the West Wind Drive-In theatre in Goleta. RL also hosted an art exhibition and two community mural projects in Isla Vista.
As marketing coordinator I worked closely with the producer, graphic designer, and social team. We chose "Reimagine Connection" as our theme as it was fitting for the new ways we needed to find to connect with each other and our audience during the pandemic. I chose the art style and color scheme for our branding and went on to design the concept for our posters. I created social media templates for our social team to follow and conceptualized our trailer. I also created and designed our brand new website from the ground up. I also worked the events and acted in our trailer.
» Reinvented the festival brand, resulting in the highest attended event in 30 years.
» Designed new website from the ground up and brought site activity up by 82% through search engine optimization, social media, and content marketing.
» Worked as internal communications between the creative and social teams.
